You have the key
In this work, which is a kitchen mitt containing the hand of a mannequin chained to the mitt itself while holding a key, the aim is to highlight the sexism that women have suffered throughout history, being forced to perform domestic tasks such as cooking.
Although it seems that she is chained, she holds the key, and as history has shown, things can change: the key represents the struggles and sacrifices made throughout time to achieve the more equal rights we have today, even though there are still some issues left to resolve.
Our Padlet
For our project, my group and I created a Padlet about feminism. We wanted to share our thoughts and raise awareness about gender equality. On the Padlet, we included information, images, and reflections that support the feminist movement.
Our goal was to show that feminism is not just about women’s rights, but about fairness and respect for everyone. We talked about how society has changed over time and how there’s still progress to be made. Working on this project made me think more deeply about the importance of equality. I really enjoyed collaborating and learning from different perspectives. Overall, it was a meaningful and eye-opening experience.
